Cameron Bridge 4-23-23

My first fishing trip of the 2023 season was at Cameron bridge fishing access the biggest and best spot to fish on the Gallatin river (in my opinion). I got out there pretty late around 3:45. I find that the best times to fish are from 8am to 10am and from 3pm to 5pm so i had a good hour to hopefully catch something. I walked around for about ten minutes until I found a spotĀ  where I’ve caught fish before.

The first spot

There are a lot of good spots in this area of the access which is to the southeast of the parking area. I stayed in this area and went to a couple more spots just down from the first one.

I fished the first spot for about 15 minutes without any action then continued to the next spot.

The second spot

I found the second spot going through some thick brush but it turned out to be a better spot. It was a pretty wide open area with a nice log to sit on. After another 15 minutes or so with no action i packed it up and headed out around 5. It was a short trip so I will have to go back later in the season. There is a lot more area to explore at the Cameron Bridge access. Be sure to checkout the highlight reel on insta and tiktok at reeltmtfish and tmtfish on youtube for a full 10 minute video. Thanks for reading
