We hiked from the Blackmore trailhead which is about a mile before you get to the reservoir. You can also hike to it from the reservoir which cuts about a mile off the hike. It took us about an hour to get to the lake and it was around noon when we got there. Once I made it over there I realized the whole lake was only about 5 to 10 feet deep. As I came around the bend of the lake I saw that a dry section separated\u00a0 another part of the lake that was much deeper. It was like a separate small pond next to the lake but they probably connect in spring. Theres only about a 20 foot distance between them. So I found a nice big flat rock to sit on and started fishing in what was a much better spot. I must have fished there for another 30 minutes at a couple spots. My family had already headed back about 30 minutes before me. Blackmore is a beautiful spot I definitely plan on going back to fish the end of the lake that is deep and just for the scenery.
